Keezlenutten Farm, LLC - Trail Rides & Hunter/Jumper Lessons in the Shenandoah Valley, VA
Crazy Snow Winter 2009-2010
If we wanted to ride at all, we had to ride in the snow this winter. We had a crazy amount of snow this year!! And while I would much rather ride in the ring, and be able to teach lessons, it was pretty fun to ride in the snow.
So the first time Mary and I decided to ride bareback. It was a lot of fun! This was after the first big snowstorm in December.

Amanda Casella joined us next time, which was New Year's Eve. We rode out in the hayfield first and then got new horses and rode in the ring field.

Then Joel and I decided to ride after working hard feeding horses and moving snow. This was after the second big snow at the beginning of February.

Holiday really wanted to go a lot faster...

Then Stephanie came out the next day and Margaret, Joel and I decided to try trail riding. It was a little too much - the cedar trees were all bent over or broken from the snow and we had to go under them, which resulted in us getting covered in snow. Glad we gave it a try, but after about 15 minutes Steph, Joel and I decided to ride in the ring instead.
